You park your car and there are many spaces to do this, and then start walking inwards.

Once you walk up towards the gates (which must be kept shut or the goats/sheeps/lambs may go in and foul the place), you are within the castle grounds.

The first thing I did was to peek out what was the windows to have a look at the scenery.

The castle overlooks much of Loch Awe and is at a beautiful location.

There are plenty of places to look out of, and many picturesque scenes.

If you take a good look around, there are people fishing and people camping around.

We managed to stop a friendly person who was there with her family, to help us capture this shot.

This castle is only open from April-September (Summer) and this is possibly due to the lack of protection in the cold weather. I am unsure of this but this is the information stated on the website.
So if you are taround the area in the correct time, I urge you to go and visit this castle.
